"A Musical Pilgrimage" Organ Concert

May 31, 2026

Nearly 250 people filled Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church Sunday afternoon for an organ concert Father Artman played entitled “A Musical Pilgrimage through the Church Year.” A highlight was certainly the singing of “Holy God, We Praise Thy Name” by everyone present in honor of Trinity Sunday. From Father's opening remarks: “Today we offer A Musical Pilgrimage Through the Church Year. A pilgrimage is a journey—a journey not only from one place to another, but also a journey of faith that draws us closer to God. Pilgrims travel with purpose, allowing each step to deepen their relationship with the Lord. The liturgical year is also a journey. Each year, the Church leads us through the great mysteries of our salvation: from Advent’s anticipation, to the joy of Christmas, through Lent’s call to repentance and conversion, to the triumph of Easter, and the gift of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost, culminating in the great Solemnity of Christ the King. As the seasons change, we are invited to walk with Christ and grow in faith. Today, we combine these two ideas—a pilgrimage and the church year. Through familiar hymns, may this musical pilgrimage inspire us to reflect on our encounter with Christ in every season and renew our appreciation for the beauty of our Catholic faith.” And it certainly seemed like that happened. Thank you to all who joined us. May God be praised!  Click here for more photos.

Family Bingo

May 8, 2026

Our OLPH Family Bingo Night on May 8 was a blast! Over 250 people attended. With the 13 baskets, 3 major prizes, the 50/50, as well as the cash prizes for the bingo games themselves - and the FUN that everyone had - pretty much everyone went home feeling like a winner! Special thanks to the Rectory staff, Knights of Columbus, and other volunteers for making everything run so smoothly. Lots more photos here.

May Procession and Crowning

May 3, 2026

On Sunday, May 3, we celebrated our parish May Procession and Crowning after the Noon Mass. Several of our First Communicants joined our Mass attendees to honor our Blessed Mother on a beautiful May afternoon. We gathered in prayer and song to recognize Mary as the Mother of Jesus and a model of faith, love, and obedience to God. We crowned the statue of Our Lady of Perpetual Help outside the school (this statue survived the fire in 2017), symbolizing her place as Queen of Heaven and the deep devotion of the parish community. Afterwards, we gathered in the school for a reception to honor Michele Hundermark as she retires after 25 years of serving as our Director of Religious Education. More photos here.

Youth Mass

April 26, 2026

Over 30 of our students in grades 3-8 attended our first Youth Mass on Sunday, April 26 at 3 PM in the Chapel. They listened to Fr. Artman's homily specifically for them, about listening for the voice of the Good Shepherd in a world filled with "wolves in sheeps’ clothing" calling them away from God. Special thanks to Mark Griswold for providing our praise and worship music. Afterwards, everyone enjoyed a pizza party! More photos here.
