Holy Eucharist

The Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist

The Holy Eucharist is the source and summit of the Christian life. Catholics believe that at Mass, through the power of the Holy Spirit and the words of the priest, the bread and wine truly become the Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of Jesus Christ, and in Holy Communion we receive Christ Himself, who nourishes us with His grace and unites us more closely to Him and to His Church.

The Eucharist is celebrated during all of our Masses. Please see our website home page for Mass times.

First Holy Communion is ordinarily administered to the second grade children in the Spring. Holy Communion is brought to the sick of the parish by the priests during a quarterly visit and by Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion on a weekly basis on Sundays.  Please call the rectory to be placed on the list for visitations. Catholics are required to fast for one hour before receiving Holy Communion. Those individuals who are ill or are in the hospital are dispensed from fasting. Water and medicine do not break the fast.
