Lent 2025
Dear Friends in Christ,
As we enter the sacred season of Lent, we hear the Lord’s invitation: “Return to me with your whole heart” (Joel 2:12).
This is a time of grace, a season to draw closer to God through prayer, fasting, and almsgiving
—not as obligations, but as opportunities to renew our hearts and deepen our faith. And, of course, all of this involves sacrifice.
Too often, Lent becomes about surface-level
sacrifices. We give up chocolate or soda; and while those small sacrifices can be meaningful, Jesus is calling us to something much deeper. This year, we want to really challenge ourselves to be the best persons we can be this Lent—a complete change of heart—not just giving up chocolate.
That means we have to get serious and intentional
about bettering ourselves.
Prayer
strengthens our relationship with God. We invite you to set aside time each day for prayer, whether in the quiet of your home or by joining us for Mass
.
Come and encounter Jesus in the Eucharist, where He nourishes us with His very life. If we want to change our hearts, we need to spend time with the One who can transform us. Our Chapel is open for Eucharistic Adoration
every day, from 9 AM to 9 PM.
Fasting
helps us let go of distractions and make room for God. Whether we give up certain foods, habits, or comforts, fasting reminds us that only God can truly satisfy our hearts. And how about fasting from pre-judging others, or complaining?
Almsgiving
calls us to love our neighbor through generosity. Lent is a time to care for the poor, the lonely, and those in need. Consider how you can share your time, talent, and treasure as a sign of God’s love. Sacrificial giving out of what we have, rather than out of our surplus, adds a special dimension to our sacrifices.
One of the greatest gifts of Lent is the chance to be reconciled with God through the Sacrament of Confession. No matter how long it has been or how heavy our burdens, Jesus is waiting with mercy. Come and experience the freedom and peace of His forgiveness.
Check our Confession schedule and let this Lent be the time you come home.
We also invite you to walk the Stations of the Cross, joining in Christ’s journey to Calvary. This powerful devotion helps us reflect on His love and sacrifice for us.
Above all, let this be the Lent where we return to Mass
with renewed faith. If you've been away, come back
—whether on Sundays or even during the week – Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday – for daily Mass. Jesus is calling – He wants to encounter
you – and His Church welcomes you.
May this season be a time of deep renewal for you and your family. Let’s journey together toward Easter, opening our hearts to the transforming love of Christ.
We look forward to seeing you!
