FIRST HOLY COMMUNION INFORMATION

 

March 13, 2008

DATE:  Saturday, May 3, 2008

TIME:  10:00 AM Mass

 

Communicants are to report at 9:30 AM.  Parents will drop off at the middle doors of school.

 

GENERAL INFORMATION:  NO pictures are to be taken during Mass.

                                                   NO talking during Mass & everyone is to remain in their seats.

                                                   Pictures may be taken after Mass.

                                                   Children will meet their parents outside after Mass.

                                                   Children are not to carry rosaries, prayer books or

                                                   pocket books.

                                                   Girls are not to wear gloves because of receiving

                                                   Communion in the hand.

 

DRESS CODE:  Boys:               White suit, shirt, tie and shoes

                           Girls:               White dress, veil and shoes

 

                                                   Attached are booklets from the St. Jude Shop & The Word

 

RETREAT DAY:                      Monday, April 28, 2008

                                                   12:30 – 3:30 PM

                                                   $45.00 per student (you may send the fee in to your child’s

                                                   teacher)

 

PRACTICES:                             Tuesday, April 29,2008 and

   Wednesday, April 30, 2008

                                                   12:30 – 2:30 PM both days

 

PICTURES:                                 Tuesday, May 6, 2008 3:30 -5:00

 

MAY PROCESSION:                Thursday, May 8, 2008

Children report to their classrooms no later than 7:00 p.m..

 

 

Communicants are to report at 7:00 PM Parents will drop off at the middle doors of school. A parent must come back inside to pick up child after procession.  

If your child is involved in the Religious Education program (CCD), please send a note to your public school principal requesting that your child be permitted to leave school early these three (3) days.  Students are to report to the Church on retreat and practice days, and will be dismissed from the Church on these days.  On Tuesday and Wednesday, OLPH school students will be dismissed their regular time from school.
